Dolce&Gabbana; Wisdom of Advertisement

Dolce&Gabbana; Wisdom of Advertisement Part of the picture in the magazine

High fashion; not only can it result in massive debt for the wannabe rich and famous, but it is also a contributing factor in looking like a regal sofa or curtain. I picked up the latest issue of Glamour magazine last week turning past the first few pages of ads I noticed a Dolce&Gabbana advertisement, not because the clothes were outstandingly gorgeous. But, because each of the super-skinny models looked like a scene from the 1500's.

In 2004 Dolce & Gabbana celebrated its 25th anniversary, the company stated that their sales were valued at $1.3 billion with over 80 stores world wide and more than 2000 people employed.

I took a look at the Store Website for; Dolce&Gabbana, and found none of the garments looked like they had in the advertisements. In fact they were elegant and in some cases practical, the 1500's most definitely did not come to mind. So why do companies such as; Dolce&Gabbana advertise their clothes like this? Because it's the different things that stand out, although I didn't take a liking to these clothes, I looked at that advert and made the effort to Google and research the topic. Because of those clothes.

It's often the most appalling things that make the viewer or the reader stop and think.
