American Idol Winner Brother Dies
David and Adam Cook
American Idol's season seven winner, David Cook, his brother has died from an eleven year struggle with brain cancer. David himself announced it this morning at the Race for Hope in Washington, DC. On a David Cook website this is what was posted:
"Hello, everyone. It is with great sadness I share with you that David announced at the Race for Hope this morning that his beloved older brother Adam had lost his battle with cancer late last night/early this morning.
Just a quick note to let's, out of love and respect for David and his family, offer our thoughts and/or prayers, as well as our support and understanding, but otherwise please respect their privacy at this time. Thank you."
An official announcement will, no doubt, be forthcoming.
It is not confirmed but it has been suspected that David canceled some of his tour dates because his brother's condition was becoming worse.
Adam and David were always close.
Adam died in a hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. His wife, children, step-mother, father and other loved ones were there. The reports state that he died a peaceful death.
