Tragedy Strikes Theme Park The Batman ride

On June 28, 2008 a unidentified teenager was decapitated by the very famous "Batman" ride around 2:30 P.M that afternoon. Apparently, the teen had hopped the fence and entered a restricted area.

Some officials that work at the theme park are uncertain of why the teenager decided top jump over two six foot fences. It was also said that there were signs that told visitors that it was a restricted area to any visitor of the park.

Authorities from the park investigated what had happened that day using facts that some of the witnesses that were around the ride at the time. Cobb County police Sgt. Dana Pierce said that "he was trying to retrieve a hat that belonged to him". The authorities have yet to release the unfortunate teenagers name. They plan to Reveal the teen's name after the autopsy on the corpse in completed.

Police reported that the roller coaster was going at it's average speed which is 50 miles an hour. Six Flags has closed the Batman ride until Sunday out of respect to the family's loss.

We grieve for the family and their very unfortunate loss and we hope that after this terrible accident, that another one won't occur in the near future.
