Explosions Rock Toronto Explosion

Citizens of Toronto found themselves in what looked like war zone today. Massive explosions erupted in a north-west residential area of the city. The explosion were accompanied with searing flames that quickly spread across the area.

The source of the explosions and fire was Sunrise Propane Industrial Gases. A facility mainly dealing with propane. Although the exact cause and reason for the fires and explosions are currently unknown, what is know is that the facility went a blaze early today at four a.m.

Sunrise Industrial just so happened to be located in an area of Toronto that was mainly residential. As the initial explosions happened the sound was heard as far away as the Toronto suburbs.

Several of the Toronto firefighter squadrons were referred to the site. By the time most arrived the fire had swept over several homes near the facility. After fighting with the blaze for about seven hours the firemen managed to contain the fires.

It was later reported that a man noticed smoke or possibly even venting propane at the facility before the initial explosions. He reported it but nothing was immediately done and not long after the explosions and fires broke out.

Luckily nobody has been seriously injured by the incident. There is several reports of minor injuries but nothing sever or life threatening. Over twelve-thousand people had to be evacuated from the area after the facility went ablaze.

Fire Division Commander Bob O'Hallarn said that given the size of the explosions and intensity of the fires the residents "Got off very lucky." The cause of the incident is currently under investigation and the damage cause by it is estimated to be in the millions.
